Wine Classes for the Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon area.
Let’s make some sense out of wine, by using the senses we were born with!
It’s time for wine!
The wine classes for winter, 2017, have just ended. Many of our students have found that giving a class to someone for a special gift, whether it’s Christmas, Valentine’s Day, a birthday or an anniversary, is a great idea! For this reason, we now include the option of purchasing gift certificates.
The novice class will be a 6-week course for people who have never experienced a wine class before.
Have you ever wondered about flavors in wines or have you ever found yourself saying “WHAT IS THAT SMELL!”. Have you pondered the idea of how to fill out a tasting sheet so you can remember what wine you enjoyed and why? Taste wines from all over the world and especially from our own backyard, the Columbia River Gorge and the Willamette Valley. How about learning some of the history behind the grapes and wines, or some trivia that no one else knows? Now is your chance!
Fun and un-intimidating… this is one of the most comprehensive wine classes you will ever experience. So come join us and learn a little or a lot!
The weekly novice class will begin on Tuesday, November 7th, 2017, at 7:30pm. Class usually lasts about 2 hours. The span of the class is 6 weeks. The class will cost $190 per person and includes all supplies. We usually taste 3 to 4 wines each class.

The advanced class is an 8 week course, for people who have experienced one of my novice classes in the past.
Learn how to identify different varietals, distinct terroirs, and various flaws in wines. Learn how to fill out judging sheets and truly understand the wine scores. This course is much more challenging than the novice class. If you are compelled to enroll in this class, but are not sure if you belong at this level, just chat with Mary at Mary@winedirt.com and find out.
The advanced class will begin later in 2017. (Exact date to be announced.) Class usually lasts about 2 hours. This is an 8 week course. The cost of this course is $250 per person and includes all supplies. We will taste 4 wines at each class. Come join us and learn why more people are taking my wine courses!
